Heti sisään astuessa tulee fiilis, että Sitko olisi kuin kotonaan myös Shoreditchissä. Jotain uutta siis Tampereen lättyskenessä. Jos itsekin olet sitä mieltä, että nykypäivän pizzerioiden on jo korkea aika katkaista napanuora mukaitalialaisiin perinteisiin, Sitko todennäköisesti puhuttelee sinua.
Palvelu on sujuvaa: tilaus ja maksu hoidetaan tiskillä, juomat (vaikkapa luomusiideri) napataan samalla mukaan, ja henkilökunta viittoo vapaaseen pöytään. Nopeaa ja mutkatonta. Vaikka ilmapiiri onkin niin tätä päivää, itse kiekot ovat ”ihan perus”. Kunhan toiminta vakiintuu, uusintavierailu on edessä.
Sitko Pizza & Bar
Large communal-type space with open kitchen: check. Robust interior design with painted concrete and white tiles: check. A no-nonsense set of limited pizza choices: check. Upon entering, it immediately strikes us that Sitko wouldn’t look out of place in Shoreditch. A first in Tampere, then, for pizza joints. Hence, the place is likely to attract clientele that feels it’s high time for pizzerias to cut the umbilical cord to fake-Italian heritage.
Service is fast: you make your order and pay at the counter, collect your drinks (for example, organic cider, if you so choose) and the staff will tell you which tables are vacant. Quick and efficient. While the atmosphere brings something fresh, the pizzas are… well, okay. Or to further use the Shoreditch analogue: B+. We will return to see how things will pick up when they get the show properly on the road.
