Tänä vuonna halloween osuu maanantaille, ja niinpä kauhuhenkinen ilonpito voi alkaa jo tänä viikonloppuna. Me kokosimme muutaman karmivan tai muuten synkeään tunnelmaan sopivan menovinkin sekä perjantaille että lauantaille. Valitettavasti osa tapahtumista on jo loppuunvarattuja, mutta peruutuslippuja voi vielä kysellä.
perjantai 28.10.
Klo 19–20.30, ilmainen Hervannan elokuvateatteri Cinolassa (Lindforsinkatu 1–3) koetaan monitaiteinen elämys. Valkokankaalla nähdään Tornin neito -niminen kauhulyhäri, minkä lisäksi elokuvan säveltäjä Ville Suopajärvi tarjoilee livemusiikkia ja Liquid Space Dreams -kollektiivi tuo paikalle ”elävän taideteoksen” – valoshow’n, jossa yhdistyvät uudet ja vanhat tekniikat.
Klo 18 ja 19, 10 € – loppuunvarattu, kysy peruutuslippuja numerosta 0600-1-1616 ma–su klo 9–21 (1,78 € / min. + pvm) Museo Milavidassa (Milavidan rinne 8) järjestetään draamallisia opastuksia kynttilänvalossa. Palatsin hämärissä kuulet ehkä jännittäviäkin tarinoita von Nottbeckin suvusta. Mikäli lippu perjantain kierrokselle ei irtoa, huoli pois! Kierroksia järjestetään joka perjantai joulukuun puoliväliin asti. Varaa paikkasi pian.
Klo 23–0.30, 6 € – loppuunvarattu, kysy lunastamattomia paikkoja ovelta Tampereen Ylioppilasteatterilla (Itsenäisyydenkatu 12–14) nähdään niskavillat nostattava kauhuimprovisaationäytelmä Askel pimeyteen. Pahimmat pelkonsa saattaa kohdata esiintyjä siinä missä katsojakin, sillä esittäjätkään eivät tiedä, mitä tulee tapahtumaan. Näytelmää tahdittaa liveimproyhtye.
lauantai 29.10.
Klo 18–23.30 7 / 8 / 20 € Jo perinteeksi muodostuneessa Cinemadromen Halloween Special -näytöksessä elokuvateatteri Niagarassa (Kehräsaari B) nähdään ensin uunituoretta kauhua ja sitten juhlapyhään sopivia klassikoita. Fede Alvarezin hengityksen salpaavassa Don’t Breathe -leffassa kolmen varkaan tiimi päättää tunkeutua sokean miehen kotiin ja ryöstää hänen omaisuutensa. Homma ei luonnollisestikaan mene suunnitelmien mukaisesti. Tämän jälkeen pimeässä pelottaa vieläkin enemmän. Varsinkin kun seuraavana valkokankaalle palaa halloweenin oma kultapoju Michael Myers peräti kahden leffan ajaksi (4 & 5).
Klo 20–03 23/ 27 € Visuaalisesti ehkä asteen viehättävämpää kauhukiusoittelua tarjoilee Tampere Burlesquen Horror & Tease -illan kurvikkaat kalmakuningattaret Klubin lavalla (Tullikamarin aukio 2). Myös omaan halloween-lookiin kannattaa panostaa – ja sen voi käydä ikuistamassa Katri Kallio Photographyn kuvauspisteessä.
Klo 21–04, 5 € + narikka Synkiökansan suosikkibileet ovat Club Bella Morten ja Club Underworldin yhteisesti järjestämät Gothic Samhain -kekkerit. Samhain on muinaiskelttien satokauden juhla, joka merkitsi pimeämmän vuodenpuolikkaan alkamista. Sitä kun maustetaan vielä goottivivahtein, astutaan Laternassa (Puutarhakatu 11) tuonpuoleisen rajalle ja juhlitaan kuin viimeistä päivää. Myös näihin bileisiin kannattaa pukeutua teeman mukaisesti – parhaat puvut palkitaan messevin palkinnoin. Ennen keskiyötä on luvassa myös Bella von Wolfkillin burleskiesitys.
HALLOWEEN WEEKEND PT. 1
This year Halloween falls on a Monday, which gives you a chance to start your horror-themed merrymaking already this weekend. Therefore we’ve gathered a few creepy or otherwise dark-spirited tips for both Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately some of the events are all ready fully booked, but you can still ask about cancellations .
Friday 28 October
7–8.30 pm, free An experience combining different art forms awaits you at Hervanta’s movie theater Cinola (Lindforsinkatu 1–3). A horror short film called Tornin neito will be screened with Ville Suopajärvi, the film’s composer, performing live music. In addition, there will be Liquid Space Dreams Collective’s “live piece of art” on display. It is a light show combining new and old technologies.
6 pm and 7 pm, 10 € – fully booked, ask for cancellations by calling 0600-1-1616 Mon–Sun 9 am–9 pm (1.78 € / min + local network rate) Dramatized guided tours in candlelight are arranged at Museum Milavida (Milavidan rinne 8). In the dark hallways of the palace, you might hear even thrilling stories about the von Nottbeck family that built the palace and owned the Finlayson factory in the 1800s. The tour is conducted in Finnish. Not to worry if you can’t get a ticket to either of Friday’s tours! The tours are arranged every Friday until mid-December. Book early.
11 pm–12.30 am, 6 € – fully booked, ask for unclaimed tickets at the door A hair-raising horror improvisation piece will take place at Tampereen Ylioppilasteatteri (Itsenäisyydenkatu 12–14). Called Askel pimeyteen, “a step into the darkness”, makes you as well as the improvisers possibly face your worst fears, as no one knows what will happen. The play is accompanied by a live improv band.
Saturday 29 October
6–11.30 pm 7 / 8 / 20 € Arranged already for the sixth time, Cinemadrome’s Halloween Special screening at Arthouse Cinema Niagara (Kehräsaari B) offers you a chance to see brand new horror as well as holiday-appropriate classics. Fede Alvarez’s breathtaking Don’t Breathe follows a team of three thieves who decide to break into a blind man’s house to steal his property. Things don’t naturally go as planned. This will make you even more afraid of the dark. Especially when next you’ll see Halloween’s golden boy Michael Myers returning to the big screen for two movies (4 & 5).
8 pm–3 am 23/ 27 € A slightly more delightful visual horror teasing is offered at Tampere Burlesque’s Horror & Tease event with curvy and fatal queens taking over the stage at Klubi (Tullikamarin aukio 2). You are also encouraged to put some effort into your own Halloween look – which you can then go and immortalize at Katri Kallio Photography’s photo booth.
9 pm–4 am, 5 € + cloakroom Those attracted by the dark side will find their favorite party at Laterna (Puutarhakatu 11) where Club Bella Morte and Club Underworld a throwing a Gothic Samhain. Samhain is an old Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. Seasoned with a Gothic twist, this feast will take you to the boundary of this world and the Otherworld and makes you party like there’s no tomorrow. You should dress up according to the theme to this event, too, as the best outfits will receive great prizes. Before midnight, there will also be a burlesque performance by Bella von Wolfkill.
