Kertakaikkisen hienoa englanninkielistä indiefolk-rockia tekevä helsinkiläinen Lake Jons saapuu perjantaina esiintymään legendaariseen Dorikseen. Kaverikolmikko julkaisi ensimmäisen EP:nsä Explore vuosi sitten ja heti puoli vuotta myöhemmin toisen EP:n Explode. Autotallibändin lisäksi illan aikana esiintyy niin ikään Helsingistä saapuva, saksalais-etiopialaistaustainen räppäri Biniyam, joka palkittiin viime vuonna Funky Awards -gaalassa Vuoden tulokas -tittelillä. Englanniksi taidokkaasti räppäävä parikymppinen kundi julkaisi omaa nimeään kantavan esikois-EP:nsä kolmisen vuotta sitten, ja kakkos-EP The Abyssinian tuli ulos vuosi sitten. Maukas musailta siis tiedossa urbaanin soundin ystäville!
Lake Jons, a Helsinki-based trio that makes utterly great indie folk-rock in English, will be performing at the legendary Doris on Friday. The trio of friends released their first EP Explore a year ago and it was followed by another EP just a few months later called Explode. In addition to the garage band, another Helsinki-based artist, rapper Biniyam will be throwing a live gig at Doris. The rapper with German / Ethiopian roots was awarded the Newcomer of the Year prize at the Funky Awards Gala last year. Rapping skillfully in English, the twenty-something artist released his eponymous EP three years ago, and the sophomore EP The Abyssinian came out a year ago. This will be a tasty night of music for all those into urban sound!
